WARRENTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

VARSITY COACH

DOUG SALZMAN is a coach that has passion for volleyball.  He likes being around the sport and played recreational volleyball in college.  As a coach he has enjoyed coaching developmental, rec, middle school, high school and adult teams.  He has been active Dad in his two daughters travel volleyball club.  Doug is Impact, Beach Impact, Safesport, and Cap 1 Certified through USAV.  Additional coaches training includes Gold Medal Squared, Art of Coaching and USAV Juniors clinics.  Doug lives in Warrenton with his wife Michelle, has two girls in Fauquier County Schools and works in finance.

Doug's philosophy No matter how far or how long you go in volleyball I believe you can excel from where you are today.  I believe a player can walk out of the gym better then when they came in.  Volleyball can be a life long sport for the girls of our community.  What we do today to teach them and train them will impact them for the rest of their days.  Let us coaches know where you are today in your skills, and see where you want to be tomorrow.  Let a coach help you make it happen.  Coaches can light the spark in a player and can be that coach that inspires the player to be all they can be.
